Reviews and Ratings
The hotel had a lovely view of the Loch from the rooms, with very comfortable and clean beds. The service was friendly and informative, although the decor and dining could use some improvement. The location was ideal on Skye island, a little off the beaten path but with a perfect setting. The dining experience was okay, overlooking the water but lacking in quality. Overall, a decent stay with some areas for enhancement.
The hotel is situated at the end of a single track road, isolated, directly on the shore, offering incredible views of beautiful nature. It's a great location for exploring Trotternish, Glendale, and Dunvegan. The dinner menu was stunning, but the lack of a working heater in the rooms and the absence of an extra blanket were drawbacks.
I had a lovely stay at the hotel. The room I booked, although very nice and spacious, could have been a bit quieter. The large collection of DVDs in the room was a nice touch for relaxing at night.
My stay at the hotel was a pleasant experience overall. The rooms were spacious and comfy with a lovely view, although it was a bit on the warm side upon arrival. The service was friendly, but there were some issues with hot water. The location, although not facing the lake, was quiet and perfect for exploring Skye. The dining had good quality products, but some improvements could enhance the breakfast options. The facilities were satisfactory.
My stay at the Redwood House Hotel was a mix of good and not so good. The rooms were comfortable with a fantastic view over the lake, but lacked a dining area and could get too hot at times due to midges. The service was friendly and attentive overall, except for a slight delay in addressing some of my concerns. The location was exceptional, right on the loch in Skye, offering a beautiful view and a relaxing atmosphere, despite ongoing building work nearby. The dining experience was a bit subpar with limited options, but the breakfast had some good selections. Overall, a decent stay with room for improvement.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated, and had a great shower; however, the lack of a working heater and extra blanket was a downside. The service was extremely helpful and friendly, with a fantastic dinner provided; nevertheless, the limited bar food options were heavily salted. The location, though isolated at the end of a single track road, offered a fantastic view and peaceful surroundings. The dining, despite having good quality food, fell short compared to other places in Scotland, but the sunrise view during breakfast was a highlight. Overall, a great stay with some minor drawbacks.
